Where The Land Speaks

About TU PANG

In a factory-turned cultural park,

Traces of its former vocation are still visible in the high-ceilinged room.

The head chef has over 20 years of experience
and he highlights the best local ingredients with European techniques.
His tasting menu values sustainability as much as flavour, capturing the terroir and season with culinary gems.

Each course is presented by the staff via a narrative that adds to the overall experience.

Check out the selection of local millet wines.

Green Spirit

Environmental issues are highlighted on our menus
so we can share our concerns about marine resources, environmental protection and carbon reduction in a unique way.

We also visit farmland across Taiwan and raise awareness about food and agriculture in schools and communities.

One millet dish is available on each seasonal menu to revive this important food crop and evoke the connection between the diner and the land by tracing the origin of the food on the plate.

Food Philosophy

Regarding food, everyone has a different opinion. Tu Pang does not go eccentric or overly exaggerated. From the outline of natural ingredients, we delve into the dining styles of the locals at this restaurant.

"From the mountains to the coast, from rushes to millet,
We record the breath of the place through our cuisine."

About The Chef

Using local ingredients to tell captivating stories to the world.

Chef Hao-Fu Chang has been dedicated to the culinary arts for over 20 years. He believes that cooking is a continuous process of rational anticipation and judgment, infused with a touch of creative madness. Through his cuisine, he conveys personal emotions—treating ingredients as materials to craft broader and more imaginative experiences. His work reflects a deep and ongoing commitment to the land, its growers, and the principles of sustainability.

“Cuisine is the accumulation of people, events, and stories that take place in a specific place.
To taste is not merely to pursue flavors that please the tongue,
but to truly feel the life and warmth of the land itself.
When people understand the stories behind the dishes,
they can savor their true meaning and connect more deeply with local culture.”

—— 張皓福 / Hao-Fu Chang
